In 2015, BOMA Edmonton realized the importance of Social Media Marketing, but lacked the in-house team to make it a reality. They were looking for a social media expert to help them better integrate social media marketing into their overall marketing activities, better promote their various events to their membership, and improve online communications with their membership overall.
In late 2015 MKT Communications began assisting BOMA Edmonton with social media marketing on their existing platform Twitter, and created an Instagram account and Linkedin Company Page for the organization as well. When MKT started the Not-for-Profit had approximately 300 followers.
MKT began event coverage for BOMA, starting with their annual Christmas gala. By strategically using the three platforms, MKT has increased BOMA’s interaction overall. As of September 2021, the organization’s Twitter account had more than 1298 followers, the Instagram and Linkedin accounts have 613 and 937 Followers respectively.
In addition to the social media management services, MKT continues to write articles for the organization’s magazine publication, Business in Edmonton.
